David Pastrnak will be worth every penny, and then some, for the Boston Bruins if he contributes at the near point-per-game pace that he’s been on. In five games coming into Thursday, Pastrnak posted three goals and an assist for Boston.
David Pastrnak scores impressive end-to-end individual effort goal for Bruins
This is as gorgeous of a 200-foot goal as you can get.

In Thursday night’s game, however, Pastrnak pulled off his biggest trick yet in fooling the entire Vancouver Canucks defense on a beautiful end-to-end tally.
The Bruins were given a five-minute power play thanks to Erik Gudbranson’s major boarding penalty, and Boston took advantage of it. Midway through the power play, Pastrnak took the puck behind the Bruins’ net before making moves to split the Canucks defense in front.
All that was left for Pastrnak to complete the 200-foot goal was to roof the puck over Anders Nilsson.
And yes, the goal is just as glorious in GIF form.
Quite the silky stuff there from Pastrnak. The Bruins scored twice more on the five minute major to extend their lead to 4-1 at the end of the first, but no other goal has come close to besting this one.
