It took over a calendar year, but Tyler Seguin has finally bested Mark Scheifele in the rock-paper-scissors battle of the ages. After taking two straight losses, and one no-decision by his own meddling, Seguin gave the Dallas Stars the rock-paper-scissors victory they needed.
Tyler Seguin finally got his rock-paper-scissors revenge against the Winnipeg Jets
Finally, a clean victory for Seguin!!!
Last October, Scheifele and Seguin engaged in a rock-paper-scissors battle before a Winnipeg Jets home game. Since, the duo have played the friendly bout to determine which forward would exit the pre-game practice last, but it’s been all Scheifele since the tradition started as the Jets have gone 2-0.
On Monday, however, Seguin got his revenge by topping Scheifele with a well-placed rock to finish off the match.
And yes, you did hear the American Airlines Center erupt into cheers after Seguin’s well-deserved victory. It’s only taken a few matches over the last two seasons, but it’s nice to see this be so well-received from the hockey community.
The Stars, however, will need all the luck they can get from Seguin’s victory, as Dallas was losing to Winnipeg 2-0 in the first period during their Monday night game.
