Had Patrice Bergeron been able to settle this puck, Jonathan Bernier would have had absolutely no chance to make a save. Fortunately for us spectators, he did, and boy did Bernier make quite the stop on Wednesday to keep the Bruins and Ducks tied at 1-1 in the second period.
Ducks goaltender stretches across with his stick on tremendous save
The Ducks owe Jonathan Bernier big time.

Bernier was able to stop Bergeron, who had a wide-open net to shoot at, despite falling backwards. The Ducks’ goaltender caught the puck with his stick, out of mid-air no less, and smothered it to safety.
The Ducks surrendered a lead moments later in the game, but should Anaheim emerge victorious, Bernier’s save kept them around to do it.
