The highlight, of course, will be the rivalry game between No. 8 Boston College and No. 3 Boston University at 8 p.m. ET. The two met last year in the Beanpot title game, with the Eagles narrowly edging out their Terrier counterparts in a 1-0 overtime win. BU is coming off a sweep of the Eagles four weeks ago.

Boston College leads the Hockey East standings with a 13-3-1 record, while the Terriers have gone 8-7-1 after a 10-game unbeaten streak earlier this year. Colin White leads the Eagles with 13 goals, while Clayton Keller leads the Terriers with 29 points.

Harvard and Northeastern will meet for the 44th time to kick off the 2017 Beanpot Tournament. The Huskies have won four out of the last five Beanpot games between the two, including winning in 2008 en route to a championship loss to Boston College.

Harvard’s leading scorer and captain, Alexander Kerfoot, has led the way in the Beanpot Tournament along with forward Luke Esposito. Two of Northeastern’s players, Zach Aston-Reese and Dylan Sikura, are early contenders for the Hobey Baker Award, the NCAA hockey equivalent to the Heisman Trophy.

These four teams include a plethora of NHL prospects, including BU’s Keller (Coyotes), Charlie McAvoy (Bruins), and Jordan Greenway (Wild). Boston College features White (Senators), Joseph Woll (Maple Leafs), and Ryan Fitzgerald (Bruins).

Harvard’s NHL prospects include Adam Fox (Flames), Kerfoot (Devils), and Tyler Moy (Predators). Northeastern’s prospects include Matt Filipe (Hurricanes), Adam Gaudette (Canucks), and Nolan Stevens (Blues).
