The sec day of the 2017 NCAA men’s Division I hockey tournament is upon us, with Friday hosting the opening slate of games.
NCAA hockey tournament 2017 live stream: Times, TV schedule, and how to watch Friday’s games online
Your favorite college hockey tournament starts with a heavyweight matchup.

The biggest matchup of the lot — and the first of the tournament no less — features last year’s champions North Dakota against Boston University, the runner-up to this year’s Beanpot tournament. North Dakota is one of the tournament’s favorites and Boston University is coming off a loss to Boston College in the Hockey East Tournament.
The winners of the Beanpot, Harvard, will take on Providence — one of the teams primed for a potential upset — later in the day. Also on deck is the first of three Big Ten teams, Ohio State, against Minnesota Duluth, who have won their last five.
Rounding out the day is Western Michigan, who are looking for their first NCAA tournament win, and Air Force. The two teams met this season back in November, when Western Michigan won one game while the other ended in a 5-5 tie.
