After losing a multigoal lead to the Sharks on Wednesday to open their series, they held down the Sharks with a 2-0 shutout in Game 2. In fact, they did it quite handily as the Oilers doubled up the Sharks in shots 36-16 in their complete game effort on Friday.
The Sharks, meanwhile, will take the loss back home as they look to regroup in San Jose for the next leg of the series. They made Cam Talbot’s job easy on Friday, and it’s unlikely they’ll put together so few shots on the Oilers goaltender for the rest of the series.
