More than a few teams face crucial playoff games on Wednesday night.
NHL playoff schedule 2017: Ducks, Blues look to advance with Game 4 sweeps
This could be the last call for Calgary and Minnesota.

For the Washington Capitals, Game 4 is their one shot at turning their first-round series with the Toronto Maple Leafs into a best-of-three with home ice advantage in their corner. Toronto stunned the Capitals with an overtime win in Game 3, taking a 2-1 series lead over the NHL’s most successful regular season team. A win in Game 4 would even the series and send both clubs back to D.C.
The Boston Bruins face a different predicament. After a strong Game 1 win, the Bruins have fallen behind 2-1 in the series and ceded most of the momentum to the Ottawa Senators. Injuries have ravaged their blue line and kept center David Krejci out of all three games.
Wednesday could be the last call for the Minnesota Wild, who trail the St. Louis Blues 3-0 in their series as they head into Game 4 in St. Louis. Minnesota has been matched completely thus far, and we could be on the brink of yet another first-round exit for Wild coach Bruce Boudreau.
If the Wild don’t beat them to it, there’s still time for the Calgary Flames to become the first team ousted in the Stanley Cup playoffs. Calgary lost Game 2 on a fluky bounce and gave up four unanswered goals in Game 3, blowing an early lead to face a 3-0 hole in Game 4.
