Someone in TD Garden was a bit too excited for summer it seems. Midway through the Bruins vs. Senators game in Boston, a random beach ball floated down onto the ice in the middle of play!
Bruins vs. Senators stopped play when a ref couldn’t catch a beach ball in his shirt
The ref was clearly unprepared for this type of situation.
Of course, the referee’s first thought was to stuff the offending beach ball up his shirt, resulting in a hilarious image.
The ref in question had to drop the beach ball, which gave the Bruins and Senators plenty of time to play with it during a stoppage of play.
Too bad it didn’t stay very long, because it looked like both sides were having a ball.
