As we hit the middle of the first round, more and more teams are starting to face elimination.
NHL playoff schedule 2017: Penguins, Predators on the verge of moving on
The Blue Jackets and Blackhawks will need strong efforts to stay alive on Thursday.

The Blue Jackets, especially, have a tough task. Columbus has yet to win a game in Pittsburgh this season, regular season or playoffs. Game 5 between the two Metropolitan Division rivals will be rocking in Pittsburgh, and the Blue Jackets will have a major hill to climb if they want to stay alive.
Also facing elimination are the Blackhawks, who are in a rare position of facing a potential sweep thanks to the Predators. Though Chicago finally got past Pekka Rinne, the Predators defense has been too much in this series so far.
The Rangers and Canadiens also play their Game 5 after New York held off Montreal at home in a close, one-goal contest.
Rounding out the evening are the Sharks and Oilers. San Jose thrashed Edmonton in their Game 4 to even the series, so it will be interesting to see how the young Oilers respond after a beating.
