Nazem Kadri is likely a wanted man as long as this Washington Capitals-Toronto Maple Leafs series continues after he briefly knocked Capitals captain Alex Ovechkin out of Game 5 with a hip check.
Alex Ovechkin shaken up in Game 5 after hip check to knee
Ovechkin left Game 5 after a Nazem Kadri hit but returned.

Ovechkin was curling up-ice to receive the puck in his own zone late in the first period when Kadri approached and crouched for a hip check. Ovechkin tried to avoid the hit, which left his knee exposed head-on.
Ovechkin remained prone on the ice, and Caps fans let Kadri hear their displeasure.
Kadri only received a two-minute minor, however, all but guaranteeing Capitals players would exact retribution on him at some point later in the game. Ovechkin left, hobbling on one leg, and it’s doubtful that he will return.
We’ll update the post when more information becomes available. For now, the Capitals just lost their best player in a crucial Game 5 with the series tied at 2-2.
UPDATE: And look who’s back.
And already having fun. No idea what this was about. But this game is super-testy.
