Four tantalizing playoff hockey series.
Sure, some notable teams didn’t make it this far. The Chicago Blackhawks, San Jose Sharks, Boston Bruins, and Minnesota Wild are home early. Young upstarts like the Calgary Flames, Toronto Maple Leafs, and Columbus Blue Jackets proved unready for primetime yet.
But the matchups ahead of us in the second round are delicious. Alex Ovechkin and the Washington Capitals vs. Sidney Crosby and the Pittsburgh Penguins. P.K. Subban and the Nashville Predators vs. Vladimir Tarasenko and the St. Louis Blues. Connor McDavid and the Edmonton Oilers vs. Corey Perry and the Anaheim Ducks.
