No, you’re not experiencing deja vu. The Penguins and Capitals are playing in another second-round series. Prepare yourselves accordingly for the Metropolitan Division rivalry matchup years in the making.
NHL playoff schedule 2017: Second round play starts for an eager Eastern Conference
Your favorite Metropolitan teams go head-to-head once again.

Also on Thursday is the first game between the Rangers and Senators. Neither team was given a chance against arguably better opponents, but both New York and Ottawa handled their first round series with aplomb. After besting their opponents in six games each, they’ll kick things off in Ottawa for a chance at the Eastern Conference Final.
But of course, the real jewel is the Sidney Crosby vs. Alex Ovechkin rematch we’ve all been waiting for. The Capitals are coming off a grueling series versus Toronto, and the Penguins breezed by Columbus. However, Pittsburgh arguably has a weaker team than last year, and the Capitals are as strong as they’ve ever been.
Wednesday brought us some incredible second round playoff hockey. Thursday will likely not disappoint.
