The Predators took Game 1 on the back of James Neal’s overtime winner on Friday. Sunday, the Ducks will look to even the series in Game 2 or risk heading to Nashville down a pair.

While neither team had success on the power play through Game 1, the Predators held possession with a 46-29 shot differential. Ryan Johansen and Mattias Ekholm each had a pair of assists in Nashville’s opening victory.

As for the Ducks, Jakob Silfverberg collected his 12th point in 12 games with the first goal of the series five minutes in. Anaheim wouldn’t score again until the seventh minute of the third period, but that was all as Pekka Rinne shut the door with 27 saves.

Things did look promising for the Ducks, whose forecheck gave the Predators a bit more trouble than they’d seen in the past. Anaheim will have to build on that to have success in Game 2.
