The Penguins are currently up by a score of 5-0 in Game 5 of the Stanley Cup Final. It’s been a wild road to get there, but the wheels started to fall off for the Predators real quick.
Penguins score goal in Game 5 after Sidney Crosby throws water bottle onto the ice
Did it slip? Was it intentional? Who knows?

Pittsburgh went up 5-0 on Phil Kessel’s mid-second period tally. But what caught the eye of many was what preceded the goal, as a water bottle of all things hit the ice.
The bottle came from the Penguins bench just seconds before Kessel’s goal. NBC showed a replay of the event, and it looked to be Sidney Crosby throwing the water bottle onto the ice.
The reason? A missed penalty on Nashville.
Crosby was then seen saying to a referee that he did not mean to throw the water bottle, but if it was caught it likely could have been a Penguins penalty — nullifying the Kessel goal.
Crosby’s had himself a game, as he has three points on the evening. He also got himself in a bit of hot water in this scuffle with P.K. Subban.
