Pekka Rinne would most definitely like a mulligan on this goal. In the third period of Saturday night’s game between the Nashville Predators and Florida Panthers, Rinne coughed up a bad goal in a very inopportune time.
Nashville Predators allow leaky neutral zone goal to Keith Yandle
Oh no, Pekka Rinne, not like this!!!

With the Panthers setting up in the neutral zone, defenseman Keith Yandle shot a hard puck on net after faking the around-the-boards play. The shot caught Rinne off guard moving back into position, and Yandle got the surprise 4-3 tally to help the Panthers get back into the game.
That set up play happens a few dozen times a game, and almost every time the goaltender is set and ready. Jonathan Quick also fell prey to a lackadaisical moment in net that cost the Kings an early goal against Pittsburgh last week, but even that pales in comparison to this clunker by Rinne.
Even Yandle was surprised, and rightfully fired up, after scoring on such a rare play.
Talk about a 90-foot dime from Yandle. But hey, at least the goal didn’t end up factoring in the game, as Yandle’s goal was the last they would get for the night.
