Any playoff history?
As two of the original six NHL teams the Bruins and Maple Leafs have a long and storied history in the Stanley Cup playoffs, meeting 14 different times in the postseason dating all the way back to 1933.
But despite that history this is just the second playoff meeting between Boston and Toronto in the last 44 years. The last meeting was in the second round in 2013, a seven-game series that ended with a Boston overtime win in Game 7. Before that the Bruins last met the Maple Leafs in the playoffs in 1974.
