The early-season trend of low-scoring games (great for UNDER bettors) and favorites winning (bad for underdog bettors) continued Thursday. Only two of the 10 games went OVER the total, including the 10-9 slugfest iin Minnesota. Seven moneyline favorites won in those 10 games as well.

Friday sees Houston and the Mets as the biggest underdogs of the day (the Astros +185 at Miami and New York +160 at Philadelphia).
“Oddsmakers continue to post very low totals because of all the solid pitching and all the low-scoring games,” said Mike Pickett of OddsShark.com, the MLB lines provider to SBNation.
“But this will change -- the bats will come alive and some savvy totals bettors will be able to make a tidy profit betting OVER.”
And R.A. Dickey has been tough on the Phils as well.
