Manchester City pulled off a major upset over rival Manchester United, and if they can do it again on Monday, they'll take a huge step towards winning the EPL championship.

Heading into Monday's Manchester Derby showdown, United leads the EPL standings with 83 points. City is right behind them, though, with 80 points.
If Man City can record a win Monday and pick up the three points, they would actually vault over Man U into first place due to goal differential. They are favored on the EPL odds menu at most sportsbooks to do just that.
Back in October, United and City clashed at Old Trafford with Man U as a +200 favorite. Man City was a +380 underdog but delivered a shocking 6-1 upset.
Manchester City took over in the second half, scoring five of their six goals in the second half of the rout. Mario Balotelli and Edin Dzeko each netted a pair of goals for Man City, while David Silva and Sergio Aguero also scored in the blowout. Prior to that win, Manchester City had gone winless in their last six EPL matches against Man U.
In the Monday rematch, Manchester City plays at home in Etihad Stadium, and they're a +110 favorite at Bet365 and other shops tracked by OddsShark, SBNation's odds partner. Man U is a +250 underdog, and the draw odds for the match were also set at +250.
"The Manchester Derby is always one of the biggest events on the Premiership betting schedule, but this year it's even bigger because of the standings," said Jack Randall of OddsShark. "Like the FA Cup final this weekend, it's one of those rare must-wager games and the betting volume at sportsbooks certainly reflect that fact."
