Odds makers see tight games in Week 5 opening point spreads

Nearly half of the Week 5 NFL matchups opened at PK or within one point, as oddsmakers and bettors alike face a challenging week to beat the spread.

The biggest spread again involves the woeful Jacksonville Jaguars, who are 12.5-point underdogs to a mediocre St. Louis team. Denver is a big road favorite at Dallas and Atlanta is approaching double digits for the Monday Night point spread.

But games involving the unbeaten Patriots (PK at Cincinnati) and Chiefs (-1 at Tennessee) are among games where odds makers are essentially calling toss-ups.
