The No. 1 Alabama Crimson Tide are 6-0 straight up and 4-2 against the spread in their last six games against the Arkansas Razorbacks, and will try to extend that winning streak Saturday in Tuscaloosa. Winning will be easier than covering, as Alabama was a 28-point home favorite midweek at most sportsbooks tracked by OddsShark.com.
Arkansas vs. Alabama betting odds, trends, and pick: Hogs have no chance
Arkansas is 1-10 ATS on the road and not a good bet to cover at Alabama, despite getting 28 points from odds makers. This article was provided to SB Nation by OddsShark.com.

Nick Saban’s Alabama Crimson Tide are known for their defense, and it would appear that the team has used Johnny Manziel’s 42 point performance against it as motivation to raise the bar. Since that 49-42 win, Alabama has gone four straight games without allowing more than a touchdown to the opposition, allowing just four points per game over that stretch.
Alabama’s offense meanwhile has scored 45 points or more in three of the team’s last five games.
The Arkansas Razorbacks’ brutal schedule continues this week as the team is forced to play against one of its SEC West conference rivals. Arkansas is 0-4 SU and 1-3 ATS over its last four games which have been a murderer’s row of Rutgers, Texas A&M, Florida, and South Carolina.
Allowing 38.8 points per game over that stretch, Arkansas’ defense simply isn’t giving the team a chance to win; not that the offense is performing much better averaging 8.5 points over its last two games. They are bleeding money away from home, going 1-10 ATS in their past 11 games on the highway.
The total has gone OVER in five of the last seven games in this series and in six of Arkansas’ last eight games overall. But with the Razorbacks struggling on offense and facing Alabama’s elite defense, can that trend continue? Saturday’s total is currently set at 48 points.
There isn’t much of a case to be made for Arkansas in this spot. Alabama’s defense is in the zone and is very liable to continue its streak of allowing seven points or fewer.
Meanwhile, the Razorbacks haven’t been stopping anyone on defense, and lost to Alabama 52-0 in Arkansas last year. Arkansas is arguably worse now than they were then, and we could end up seeing a similar score in this one.
PICK: Alabama -28.0 | Computer Prediction: 43-16 Alabama. We disagree with the computer on this one and believe this is a major rout.
