Florida State vs. Clemson betting odds, trends, and pick: Noles to cruise
A Top 5 battle pits Florida State against Clemson with the home Tigers underdogs to Jameis Winston’s Seminoles. This article was provided to SB Nation by OddsShark.com.

Saturday night’s total was set at 64 points.
Probably caught looking ahead to this top-five matchup, the Clemson Tigers were flat as 24-point favorites at home against the Boston College Eagles and needed a late comeback to come out on top, 24-14. The win moved Clemson to 6-0 SU and 3-3 ATS. Since allowing 35 points to Georgia in the first game of the season, Clemson's defense hasn't allowed more than 14 points since.
That is likely to change this week with the Seminoles coming to town. Florida State freshman quarterback Jameis Winston has thrust himself into the Heisman conversation with some outstanding play this season, leading his team to a 5-0 SU and 4-1 ATS record while averaging 53.6 points per game on offense.
Florida State’s defense is allowing just 12 points per game this season, and the Seminoles have held three of their last four opponents to a touchdown or less; including a 63-0 shutout of Maryland last week.
History is on Clemson’s side here, as the home team has won each of the last six games in this series. The Tigers are 5-0 SU and ATS in their last five home games against the Seminoles. The total has gone OVER in four of the last five games between these two ACC rivals, and the OVER is 9-3-1 in their last 13 meetings.
Tajh Boyd is also in the Heisman mix, and the college football betting odds spot him at 10/1.
This one could easily go either way with two of the nation's best teams colliding. In such a close matchup on paper, we lean towards the home team. Clemson showed it can shoot out with an elite opponent in its season opener against Georgia, and this will be Jameis Winston's first true road test.
PICK: Clemson +3.0 | Computer Prediction: 42-29 FSU
