The Green Bay Packers look to continue their scoring barrage at the friendly confines of Lambeau Field when the Bears come to visit Monday. Quarterback Aaron Rodgers has led the Packers past 30 points four times this seasons, including each of the last two games.

Green Bay enters Week 9 action as the league's second-best offense, trailing only Denver in total yards per game. Though their yardage totals on offense aren't as flashy, the Chicago Bears have been putting points on the board just as effectively as the Packers, edging them out 30.4 to 30.3 points per game. That total is good for second in the NFL (again behind the Broncos).
At home is where the Packers have thrived, as they are 8-0 against the spread the last eight times they have been favored there. The Bears haven’t been so lucky in Wisconsin, losing their last five games at Lambeau outright and covering the spread just once.
The Bears have been even worse against the spread in the NFC North, just 1-6-1 in their last eight divisional games. The Packers, however, have been cleaning out the division to the tune of 12-1 in their last 13 games. Green Bay has double-digit wins -- against Minnesota and Detroit -- in both of their NFC North clashes this season.
Chicago's divisional affairs have been closer, edging out the Vikings, 31-30, and dropping a heartbreaker to Detroit 40-32. The strength of the Bears has been their turnover differential as they are plus-7 on the year, good for a top 10 mark in the league.
What really favors the Packers this week is the quarterback matchup, with game-changer Aaron Rodgers going up against game-manager Josh McCown. As Jay Cutler’s injury replacement, McCown played well against Washington on Sunday in his first start of the season. But with just 20 pass attempts and one touchdown, he may not be able to go toe-to-toe with the former MVP. Rodgers has had another fantastic year, completing 67.1 percent of his passes and throwing 15 touchdown passes.
Rodgers can also move the chains with his legs, something that in previous seasons Lance Briggs and Brian Urlacher were tasked with stopping. But with Briggs out with a shoulder injury and Urlacher retired, that burden will fall on a new set of Chicago linebackers.
As for recent Monday Night Football performances, both teams have been good under the lights. The Bears are 7-3-1 ATS in their last ten Monday contests and the Packers are 4-1 ATS in recent late-night Lambeau romps. It will be interesting to see how Bears coach Marc Trestman responds in his first career MNF game.
