Just when bettors had buried the Pittsburgh Steelers as a credible team to back in 2013, they won five of seven to regain relevance and creep back into the playoff picture.
Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Baltimore Ravens: betting odds, Thanksgiving pick
The Ravens are favored by 3, the computer says they will beat Pittsburgh by 2. Check out the Odds Shark analysis for Thanksgiving’s third NFL matchup.
But to continue that momentum, they need to beat a tough divisional rival in a role where that rival almost never loses.
Baltimore has won 29 of 31 games at home as a favorite and they are favored by a field goal Thursday as NFL Thanksgiving kicks off. Overall, the Ravens are 6-1 ATS in their past seven home games, so they are not just winning -- they are covering.
The Ravens vs. Steelers matchup report also points to a solid UNDER angle here for NFL over under/betting, especially with some freakish weather moving through the northeast.
But through all that winning, Pittsburgh has managed to cover four of five trips to Baltimore to face its AFC North rivals.
“These teams have been carbon copies of each other over the years, with solid but unspectacular quarterbacks and ferocious defenses doing the heavy lifting,” said Jack Randall of OddsShark.com. “Not surprisingly, matchups between these teams are usually very tight.”
Indeed, the last four meetings have been all decided by a field goal. The computer is picking another one, with a 21-19 pick from the Odds Shark NFL prediction software.
