The early betting favorite for the 2014 Kentucky Derby will begin earning his Derby stripes and creating some buzz this weekend when he runs at Aqueduct in the $400,000 Remsen.
Kentucky Derby favorite Honor Code Running Saturday at Aqueduct
Early Kentucky Derby odds are posted and the early favorite Honor Code runs this weekend.

Honor Code was 9/5 odds at many racebooks tracked by OddsShark.com with Cairo Prince a close second betting choice at 2/1.
The race is part of the Road to the Kentucky Derby series, with the winner earning 10 points towards qualifying for the field of 20 on the First Saturday in May.
Honor Code has been the choice of many who bet in horse races online in Derby future betting, according to oddsmakers at Bovada. He ran a solid second in the Champagne at Belmont Park back on Oct. 5 and was sitting this week at 10/1 odds on the futures list.
Then, the decision was made by his handlers to skip the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile (G1), where many of the world’s top two-year-olds strut their stuff. However, winning the Juvenile has proven something of a hex over the years with very few winners following with a Derby win.
The colt, by A.P. Indy out of the stakes winner Serena’s Cat, made a terrific late run in the Champagne, finishing second to Havana, who then ran second in the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile.
Havana was sitting as a 20/1 bet on the Kentucky Derby odds menu.
Noble Moon, Wicked Strong and Intense Holiday are the next three betting choices at the Remsen.
A second Kentucky Derby Series event goes Saturday at Churchill Downs, home of the famous Run For the Roses. Almost Famous is expected to be a heavy morning line favorite in the $150,000 Kentucky Jockey Club.
Dobra Historia is the second betting choice in that race at 5/1 odds.
In Canada, the Kennedy Road Stakes goes at Woodbine with Phil’s Dream a heavy favorite.
