Kansas Jayhawks vs Florida Gators betting odds: college basketball prediction

College basketball betting enthusiasts get some huge games this week including Florida vs Kansas. Check the preview from Odds Shark.

Jamie Squire

The Kansas Jayhawks started off their season strong with a 4-0 SU and 3-1 ATS record, highlighted by a convincing 94-83 win over Duke.

But since then, the Jayhawks (and their flashy freshman Andrew Wiggins) have gone 0-4 ATS and 2-2 SU with outright losses to Villanova and Colorado. They’ll try to get back on track and make a statement Tuesday night on the road in Florida against the Gators, where they opened as small underdogs at shops such as Sports Interaction.

Florida is off to a 6-2 SU and 3-1-1 ATS start, but is still looking for a signature win of its own. The Gators have fared well against inferior opponents, but lost to quality opponents in Wisconsin and Connecticut.

Prediction: Kansas 75-67 | Matchup Report | Preview

The Iowa State Cyclones are off to a perfect 7-0 SU and 4-1 ATS start, and will put that record on the line against their in-state rival Friday night when they host the Iowa Hawkeyes. Iowa is 8-1 SU and 4-4 ATS through its first nine games.

This rivalry game could end up going OVER the total; both teams have trended towards the OVER with Iowa at 5-3 and Iowa State at 4-1, and each of the last five meetings in this series have gone OVER.

The Arizona Wildcats have emerged as an early NCAA championship favorite with a 9-0 SU and 6-3 ATS start including a road win over San Diego State and a win over Duke as well.

The Wildcats will face another difficult road test on Saturday visiting the Michigan Wolverines, who are 28-2 SU and 15-11-1 ATS in their last 30 games at home. The college basketball odds gods are likely to smile on UM here and make them favorites (watch for updates here at SBNation).

North Carolina has had a roller coaster start to the 2013-14 season. The Tar Heels are 6-2 SU and 5-3 ATS overall, with ugly losses against Belmont and UAB but an excellent 79-65 win on the road as a 10-point underdog against Michigan State.

Which version of UNC will show up on Saturday hosting the Kentucky Wildcats? Kentucky is 7-2 SU and 3-3-1 so far.

The Syracuse Orange are undefeated out of the gate with a 9-0 SU and 4-2 ATS record, and face a team they have enjoyed success against Sunday at St. John’s. Syracuse is 8-0 SU in its last eight games against St. John’s and 6-0 ATS over the last six meetings.
