Seattle Seahawks vs. San Francisco 49ers betting odds preview, pick, trends

Seattle boasts some solid trends, and the computer picks the Seahawks to win at San Francisco. The Week 14 NFL odds menu has the 49ers as small home favorites.

With a 16-1 SU and 12-5 ATS record over their last 17 regular-season games, the Seattle Seahawks appear to be the team to beat in the NFL this season.

They will play the role of underdog for the first time all year this Sunday, visiting the San Francisco 49ers as three-point road underdogs.

Sitting at 11-1 SU with a two-game lead atop the NFC over Carolina and New Orleans and owning the head-to-head tiebreaker over both, the Seahawks have all but locked up the No. 1 seed in the NFC.

Ranking second in the NFL in both scoring offense (28.3 points per game) and scoring defense (15.5 points per game), there aren’t any noticeable weaknesses on this powerhouse team. And there are few reasons to not bet on the NFL online when two NFC West powerhouses collide.

The San Francisco 49ers haven’t been quite as explosive or consistent as many thought they were going to be on offense this season, but the defense still stands as one of the NFL’s best, ranking third in points allowed (16.4 per game) and fifth in total yards allowed (311.6 per game).

With an 8-4 SU and 8-3-1 ATS record, the 49ers have fallen behind in the NFC West race and must focus on securing a wild card spot.

San Francisco has been blown out in each of its last two games against the Seahawks, but both of those games were played in Seattle. San Francisco is 4-0 SU and 3-1 ATS in its last four home games against Seattle, including a 13-6 win in San Francisco last season.

Seattle is 9-5 SU and 12-2 ATS in its last 14 games as an underdog and has won six straight divisional games, according to Odds Shark.

Despite their respectable 8-4 SU and 8-3-1 ATS record, Colin Kaepernick and the 49ers have struggled against elite opponents this season with an 0-4 SU and 0-3-1 ATS in losses to Seattle, Indianapolis, New Orleans and Carolina.

In what should be a great game, taking the team that has proven it can finish and is receiving points looks like the way to go.
