Dallas Cowboys vs. Chicago Bears Betting Odds, Monday Night Pick, Trends

Chicago has beaten the Monday Night Football odds regularly while Dallas has failed often. But the Bears face some ugly Week 14 NFL betting trends as well.

Tim Heitman-US PRESSWIRE

Since starting the season off 3-0 SU and 1-1-1 ATS, the Chicago Bears have gone 3-6 SU and 1-8 ATS over their last nine games.

And that isn’t the only money-losing trends facing Bears bettors as they prepare to host the Week 14 Monday Night Football battle against the Dallas Cowboys.

The Bears are just 1-9-1 ATS in their past 11 home games as they opened as a slight 2-point favorite at most of the top online sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com.

However, they do own a significant historical advantage in Monday Night Football betting. Dallas is 1-7 ATS in its past eight MNF games while the Bears are 8-3-1 ATS, according to the Bears vs Cowboys matchup report.
Despite dealing with Jay Cutler missing games due to injury all season, the Bears have actually played well on offense averaging 26.9 points per game and 381.4 total yards per game. The issue has been on defense, where the Bears rank in the bottom five of the league in scoring defense and total yardage allowed.

Chicago enters Monday night’s game on an 0-4 ATS skid, and will need a strong defensive effort to pull off the win.

Fueled by Tony Romo and the third-best scoring offense in the NFL averaging 27.4 points per game, the Dallas Cowboys have compiled a 7-5 SU and 8-4 ATS record through 12 games.

Averaging just 85.1 rushing yards per game, the Cowboys continue to rely heavily on the arm of Romo to carry the offense. Dallas enters Monday night’s game with a 5-2 SU and 4-3 ATS record over its last seven games and tied for first place in the division (although they are the top betting choice in odds to win the NFC East).

The road team has won each of the last three meetings between these two teams, with all three of those games going OVER the total. Both teams have trended toward the OVER this season with Dallas at 7-5 and Chicago at 8-4.

Motivation will not be an issue for either team in this one as both teams are fighting for their playoff lives. With the NFC East and NFC North still up for grabs, both teams will be looking to finish the season strong and avoid missing the playoffs as they have each of the last two seasons.

Considering both teams have played well on offense but Dallas has been improved on defense, the Cowboys should be able to extend Chicago’s cold streak with a road win.
