Sports Betting Preview: Feb 11-16 Wagering Calendar

With Madness Madness odds looming just a few weeks away, every college basketball game takes on fresh urgency. Check out the sports betting preview for the week.

Andy Lyons

The Florida Gators are 0-5 SU and 1-3-1 ATS in their last five games against the Kentucky Wildcats, but they’ll look to break that slump when they host the defending NCAA champions this Tuesday night in Florida.

Even though Kentucky is having a down year (17-6 SU, 8-12 ATS), Florida should know better than to take the Wildcats lightly. The Gators are 19-3 SU and 12-7 ATS so far this season, and can shake off the ill effects of their recent loss to Arkansas with a win Tuesday. [ Kentucky vs Florida Matchup Stats ]

The Kentucky-Florida matchup is one of four big mid-week rivalry games this week. The Kansas Jayhawks (19-4 SU, 9-13 ATS) will try to snap their current three game losing streak when they host the Kansas State Wildcats (19-4 SU, 9-10 ATS) on Monday night.

Kansas is 10-1 SU and 9-2 ATS in its last 11 games against Kansas State. They were 8-point favorites at most sportsbooks tracked by OddsShark.com.

Tuesday night, the Michigan State Spartans (20-4 SU, 10-11 ATS) host the Michigan Wolverines (21-3 SU, 13-9-1 ATS). If history is any indication, this will be a defensive showdown as the UNDER is 7-1-0 in the last eight games between these two teams.

Then Wednesday night the Duke Blue Devils (20-3 SU, 13-10 ATS) host the North Carolina Tar Heels (16-7 SU, 11-8-2 ATS). Duke is 5-2 SU and 4-3 ATS in its last seven against the Tar Heels.

NBA wagering preview

The Chicago Bulls (30-20 SU, 21-29 ATS) have a pair of tough games to start the week this week, hosting the San Antonio Spurs on Monday night (39-12 SU, 28-21-2 ATS) and then visiting the Boston Celtics on Wednesday night (26-23 SU, 21-25-3 ATS).

Chicago is 4-1 SU and ATS in its last five games against the Spurs and the total has gone UNDER in eight of their last nine meetings. Chicago has also fared well against Boston recently with a 7-2 SU and ATS record in its last nine games against the Celtics. [ NBA odds at SBNation ]

Out on the ice, the top two teams in the Western Conference collide in the Windy City when the Anaheim Ducks (8-2-1) visit the Chicago Blackhawks (10-0-2) on Tuesday. Chicago has the NHL’s best SU record at 10-0-2, is the only team in the NHL to not have a regulation loss thus far, and is 7-2 SU in its last nine home games against the Ducks.
