Anderson Silva didn't even sound like he wanted a rematch after losing UFC 162 to Chris Weidman, but Dana White wants the fight and oddsmakers have already made the Spider the early favorite.
Anderson Silva favored in would-be UFC rematch with Chris Weidman
Anderson Silva will be the favorite if and when the rematch with Chris Weidman is scheduled. Bovada opened Silva as a -175 fave on its UFC odds menu, with Weidman a +145 underdog.

Oddsmaker Bovada set the line at -175 in favor of Silva, who clowned around and got knocked out. The new champion opened as a +145 underdog, a much shorter price than the +220 number that greeted bettors Saturday night.
“We don’t have a confirmed fight and we don’t have a confirmed date, but we have odds,” said Jack Randall of OddsShark.com.
“The organization has floated Dec. 28 and Super Bowl Saturday as possible dates, so this scrap will have lots of time for the hype to build.”
Silva said after the loss he was “done” with title fights and that he was tired. Since then, sources close to him have stated he wants the rematch as soon as possible. At 38, he probably doesn’t want to wait until 2014.
Silva was a -260 favorite at most books Saturday, but he toyed with Weidman and paid the price.
The next major UFC card is UFC on Fox 8 -- Johnson vs. Moraga on July 27.
