The Pittsburgh Steelers are almost never home underdogs like they are Sunday night against the Chicago Bears. It’s only happened five times since Coach Mike Tomlin took over, and since 2000, it’s only happened 10 times. But here’s the rub for Chicago bettors -- Pitt is 8-1-1 ATS in those 10 games when getting points at home.
NFL trends, Week 3: Betting sees huge streaks
There is a 13-game win streak, a nine-game win streak and a 16-1 angle. Week 3 NFL betting promises to be interesting with so many juicy trends and huge point spreads.

Week 3 sees some of the biggest point spreads in years and some of the most lopsided betting trends. Detroit is 0-13 at Washington since 1980 (3-10 ATS) and the Lions get two points on the betting line.
Kansas City tries to break a losing skid as an underdog Thursday in Philly. The Chiefs have lost 11 of 12 SU in this role, as Coach Andy Reid comes back to Philadelphia.
Oakland has been bet to a 16.5-point underdog at Denver, but beware the Raiders in this spot. They are 10-1 ATS in their past 11 road games within the AFC West and 6-1 ATS at Denver.
Indianapolis has not won as a double-digit underdog since 2002 (Philly, Nov. 10) and the colts have a tough task in San Francisco (-11.5 at 5Dimes).
More from SB Nation NFL:
San Diego visits the Titans riding a 9-0 SU and 8-1 ATS streak against Tennessee since 1993. And the Browns, who foolishly peddled Trent Richardson yesterday, hope to avoid their 17th road loss in 18 tries when they visit Minnesota.
