College football odds, Week 6: Stanford, Ohio State, Georgia, Oklahoma the big favorites

We don’t talk about fan favorites Alabama and Notre Dame in Week 6. It’s Ohio State and Stanford looking to climb the BCS ladder after being favored in opening college football lines this week.

Thearon W. Henderson

After talking about Alabama for weeks, bettors can largely ignore the Crimson Tide in Week 6, as they are favord by eight touchdowns against Georgia State. Instead, BCS watchers and sharp college football handicappers are taking aim at two late Saturday games featuring Top 25 teams.

Ohio State faces Big Ten foe Northwestern, where the No. 4 Buckeyes are 5.5-point favorites to open the week visiting the No. 16 Wildcats. The Buckeyes have laid waste to Northwestern in recent years, outscoring them 205-34 in the past four meetings. Later in Pac-12 action, No. 15 Washington visits No. 5 Stanford with the host Cardinal opening as 6.5-point chalk at most shops monitored by OddsShark.com.
