Oklahoma State at TCU betting guide and prediction

TCU hopes to bounce back from a tough loss, this week hosting Oklahoma State

Tom Pennington

The TCU Horned Frogs are a perfect 5-0 ATS on the season and 4-1 SU after last week's wild shootout in Waco. TCU will try to add another win and cover this Saturday when they host the Oklahoma State Cowboys. Oklahoma State at TCU kicks off at 4:00pm ET at Amon G. Carter Stadium on Saturday.

TCU is an 8.5-point favorite at home at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com. In a game that has shootout written all over it, Oklahoma State should keep it close enough to pick up a cover as an 8.5-point underdog.

With a 58-37 lead in the fourth quarter over Baylor last week, TCU looked to be well on its way to a 5-0 SU and ATS record on the season. But while the Horned Frogs did pick up the cover as a 7-point road dog, Baylor stormed back to win the game 61-58 in the closing minutes. After allowing only seven points per game through the first three games of the season, TCU has now allowed 94 points over the last two weeks against Oklahoma and Baylor. The Horned Frogs are just 5-4 SU and 3-6 ATS in their last nine games as a home favorite.

OddsShark Computer Prediction: TCU 39.6, Oklahoma State 32.1

The Cowboys have enjoyed a strong 5-1 SU and 3-3 ATS start to the season, pushing Florida State to the brink in a 37-31 loss to start the season and winning each of their last five games since. Oklahoma State averaged 39.2 points per game through its first five games before surprisingly being held to only 27 points in a 27-20 road win over Kansas last Saturday. Was this a case of Oklahoma State looking ahead to TCU or having an off day on offense due to being on the road? Time will soon tell, but the Cowboys are 3-1 ATS in their last four games as a road underdog.

Oklahoma State is 2-0 SU and ATS in its two games against TCU since the Horned Frogs joined the Big 12, winning both of those games by double-digits. The Cowboys may not win this one outright, but they should continue their success as a road dog.
