Broncos vs. Patriots: Betting odds, preview, prediction

Tom Brady and Peyton Manning meet again when the New England Patriots host the Denver Broncos.

Chris Humphreys-USA TODAY Sports

The New England Patriots are 8-2 SU and 9-1 ATS in their last 10 games as a home underdog. The Patriots will try to keep those winning ways going when they host the Denver Broncos as a home dog this Sunday.

New England is a three-point home underdog at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark. While New England’s track record as a home underdog speaks for itself, Denver’s recent play makes it hard to pick against the Broncos as only a slim favorite, despite what the OddsShark Computer is predicting.

Over their last four games, the Patriots have seemingly put to rest any concerns about Tom Brady and the offense. They are 4-0 SU and 3-1 ATS and averaging 38.5 points per game, capped off by a 51-23 win over the Chicago Bears last Sunday. The Patriots have given up an average of 23.3 points per game over their last three games, but that hasn't mattered thanks to how hot the offense has been. New England is 26-3 SU in its last 29 games at home.

OddsShark Computer Prediction: Denver 32, New England 32.8

The Patriots host the Broncos at 4:25 p.m. ET on Sunday at Gillette Stadium.

The Broncos entered their bye week coming off a 26-20 overtime loss to Seattle to fall to 2-1 SU and 0-3 ATS on the season. Since then, they have been completely locked in, going a perfect 4-0 SU and ATS while beating every opponent by at least 14 points. And with wins over Arizona, San Francisco and San Diego included in that run, it has come against quality competition. Denver is 12-2 SU and 10-4 ATS in its last 14 games as a road favorite.

Four of the last five games between Denver and New England have gone OVER the posted total. Sunday’s total is set at 55 points at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.

Brady and Peyton Manning are the two greatest quarterbacks of this era, and every matchup between them is must-see TV. Brady holds the 10-5 SU all-time edge against Manning, but look for Manning and his red-hot Broncos to get the upper hand this time around.
