Despite New Orleans’ terrible play on the road in recent years, the Saints appear to be in better form than Carolina and could pick up a rare road win this Thursday. The Saints are 2.5-point road favorites at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.
New Orleans played its best game of the season last Sunday, blowing out the Green Bay Packers, 44-23, at home. The Saints entered that game with a 2-4 SU and ATS record and the playoffs looking like a long shot. But suddenly, with a 3-4 SU and ATS record, the Saints are tied for first in the NFC South with Carolina and can take over the division lead with a win this week. New Orleans is 0-7 ATS in its last seven games as a road favorite.

Since starting the season off 2-0 SU and ATS, the Panthers are just 1-4-1 SU over their last six games. Carolina allowed 37 points or more in four of those six games, and while the defense got back on track to allow only 13 points to Seattle last week, the Panthers still lost the game, 13-9.
