Eagles vs. Packers: Betting odds, preview, prediction

Philadelphia visits Green Bay in a potential playoff preview Sunday afternoon.

Benny Sieu-USA TODAY Sports

The Green Bay Packers are 3-1 SU and ATS in their last four games against the Philadelphia Eagles. Green Bay hopes to continue its success over Philadelphia Sunday at home in a battle of teams that erupted on offense in Week 10.

The Packers are a 5-point favorite at home, according to sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com. Philadelphia’s sharp play against strong teams this season and good play on the road make the Eagles worth a strong look as a 5-point road underdog.

Any doubt about the health of Aaron Rodgers coming off a 44-23 loss to New Orleans was quickly put to rest last Sunday night. Rodgers threw for five touchdown passes in the first half as the Green Bay Packers went on to rout the Chicago Bears, 55-14. Green Bay improved to 5-1 SU and ATS over its last six games and has scored 37.2 points per game over that stretch.

Green Bay is 3-0 SU and ATS in its last three games as a home favorite.

OddsShark Computer Prediction: Philadelphia 34.2, Green Bay 33.2

Green Bay hosts the Philadelphia Eagles at Lambeau Field Sunday at 4:25 p.m. ET.

Mark Sanchez didn’t look like a backup quarterback Monday night as the Eagles coasted to a 45-21 win over the Carolina Panthers. Sanchez passed for 332 yards and two touchdowns and didn’t throw for an interception in the process. The Eagles are now 2-0 SU and ATS in games that Sanchez has played in and 7-2 SU and ATS overall on the season. Philadelphia is 7-3 SU and ATS in its last 10 games on the road.

Sunday’s total is set at 55 points at OddsShark.com. The OVER is 6-0 in Green Bay’s last six games overall and 5-2 in Philadelphia’s last seven games as a road underdog.

This game is a huge test for both teams. If Philadelphia wins, it can prove it can win in a tough road environment with Mark Sanchez under center. For the Packers, it would be the first win of the season against a team currently holding a playoff spot.

Philadelphia is strong enough on both sides of the ball to win, or at least cover as a 5-point road underdog. Both teams have inched up the Super Bowl odds ladder in recent weeks, per BetonSuperBowl.com.
