The Miami Dolphins have won five of their last six games against the New York Jets both SU and ATS. To keep their hopes alive in the crowded AFC Wild Card picture, the Dolphins need another win over the Jets Monday night.
Dolphins vs. Jets: Betting odds, spread, predictions and pick for ‘Monday Night Football’
Miami hopes to stay in playoff race with road win over New York Jets in “Monday Night Football” betting.

Miami is a 7-point road favorite, according to sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com. With New York’s offense in disarray and the Dolphins in need of this win, Miami should come out with a focused effort and win and cover as a road-favorite against its division rival.
OddsShark Computer Prediction: Miami 27.8, New York 9.4
Even a great start and 36 points of offense weren’t enough for the Miami Dolphins to pull off the upset on the road against the Denver Broncos last week, falling, 39-36, as a 6.5-point road dog. Miami fell to 6-5 SU on the season but improved to 5-1 ATS over its last six games in the loss.
The Dolphins had given up only 11.2 points per game in its previous five games before getting torched by Peyton Manning and company in Denver. Miami’s defense faces a much less potent attack this week against the Jets.
New York hosts the Dolphins at MetLife Stadium Monday night at 8:30 p.m. ET.
The Jets had their game against Buffalo pushed back to Monday last week due to snow, and would have probably preferred it had never been played at all. New York got demolished, 38-3, in Buffalo, falling to a dismal 2-9 SU and 2-8-1 ATS. With the season lost at this point, Jets management has decided to turn back to Geno Smith at quarterback to give him one more look at the position before the offseason.
New York is 4-5 SU and 3-6 ATS in its last nine home games against AFC East opponents.
The UNDER is 6-1 over the last seven times that Miami and New York have met, according to the OddsShark NFL Database, and 4-0 in the teams’ last four meetings at New York. Monday night’s total is set at 41.5 at the sportsbooks.
Miami’s solid defense and Geno Smith’s lack of effectiveness at quarterback make for a bad recipe for the Jets. The Dolphins should take care of business at -7 with a win and cover.
