Seahawks vs. Cardinals: Betting odds, spread, preview, and prediction

The Seattle Seahawks hope to stay hot on the road against the Arizona Cardinals.

Joe Nicholson-USA TODAY Sports

The Seattle Seahawks are 10-3 SU and 8-5 ATS in their last 13 games as road favorites. The Seahawks are a big road favorite this Sunday night visiting the Arizona Cardinals.

Seattle is a 7.5-point road favorite over Arizona at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com. Going up against a third-string quarterback with an elite defense, the Seahawks should be able to pick up the win and cover this Sunday on the road despite what the computer thinks.

OddsShark Computer Prediction: Seattle 25.7, Arizona 23

Over the last four weeks, Seattle has looked every bit the part of a defending Super Bowl champion with a 4-0 SU and ATS record. In wins over Arizona and San Francisco at home and Philadelphia and San Francisco on the road, the Seahawks have outscored their opponents 79 to 27, giving up a paltry 6.8 points per game over that stretch. Seattle is 13-3 SU and 14-2 ATS over its last 16 games played in December.

The Cardinals host the Seahawks at 8:25 p.m. ET Sunday night at the University of Phoenix Stadium.

Arizona's quarterback injury woes continued last week when backup quarterback Drew Stanton was lost for the remainder of the regular season with a knee injury. The Cardinals did pick up a 12-6 road win over St. Louis to improve to 11-3 SU and 10-4 ATS on the season and clinch a playoff spot last Thursday. With Stanton and Carson Palmer down, the Cardinals turn to third-string quarterback Ryan Lindley, who owns a 0-to-7 career touchdown to interception ratio. Arizona is 10-3 SU in its last 13 games as a home underdog.

The UNDER is 6-2 in Seattle's last eight games as a road favorite according to the OddsShark NFL Database, and 8-3 in Arizona's last 11 games as a home underdog. Sunday night's total is set at 36.5 points at the sportsbooks.

The Seahawks are 6-3 SU and ATS in their last nine games against the Cardinals including a 3-1 SU and ATS run over their last four. With the way that Seattle's defense is playing right now, Ryan Lindley could be in for a very long night. Look for Seattle to win and cover and take over first place in the NFC West on Sunday night.
