Bengals vs. Steelers: Betting odds, spread, preview, and ‘Sunday Night Football’ prediction

Cincinnati and Pittsburgh look to win the AFC North title and lock up home field in the first round of the playoffs.

Jason Bridge-USA TODAY Sports

The Pittsburgh Steelers are 6-0 SU and 5-1 ATS in their last six home games against divisional opponents. Pittsburgh hopes to extend that win streak this Sunday hosting the Cincinnati Bengals with the division on the line. The Bengals visit the Steelers on Sunday night at 8:25 p.m. ET at Heinz Field.

Pittsburgh is a 3.5-point home favorite at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com. This one is a close call, but with the edge on offense and home-field advantage the Steelers should be able to earn a win and cover against the Bengals.

OddsShark Computer Prediction: Cincinnati 24.9, Pittsburgh 29.1

After starting the season off with a mediocre 3-3 SU and 2-4 ATS record, the Steelers have emerged as a dark-horse contender in the AFC with a 7-2 SU and 6-3 ATS record over their last nine games. Fueled by sensational seasons from Ben Roethlisberger, Le'Veon Bell and Antonio Brown, the Steelers offense has racked up more yardage on offense than any other team in the AFC. Pittsburgh has gone 5-1 ATS in its last six Week 17 games.

Cincinnati finally picked up the signature win that it has been looking for in recent seasons last week, defeating the Denver Broncos 37-28 to lock up a playoff spot with a 10-4-1 SU and 8-6-1 ATS record. Now, the Bengals turn their attention to trying to pull off a second straight upset this week in Pittsburgh. Cincinnati has been strong on defense over the last few months with the one glaring exception being a 42-21 loss at home to the Steelers. The Bengals are just 2-7 SU and ATS in their last nine games against Pittsburgh, according to the OddsShark NFL Database.

The UNDER is 4-2 over the last six meetings between these two teams and 5-0 in Cincinnati's last five road games. Sunday night's total is set at 48 points.

The winner of this game will earn a division title and home field in the first round while the loser will have to take the Wild Card route through the postseason. It could go either way, but at home the Steelers should be able to get the job done as 3.5-point favorites.
