New Mexico State vs San Diego State odds, West Region betting preview

In five NCAA Tournament appearances since 1999, the 13-seed New Mexico State Aggies are 0-5 SU and 1-4 ATS.

Reversing that lack of success on Thursday will be difficult going up against the San Diego State Aztecs as a 6.5-point underdog.

Leading into that game in the West Region is 12-seed North Dakota State taking on 5-seed Oklahoma with the Sooners favored by 3.5 points.

New Mexico State enters the postseason riding a 9-1 SU run over its last 10 games. The Aggies finished their season with a 26-9 SU record, capped off by a WAC Tournament title. Daniel Mullings leads an Aggies offense that averages 77.2 points per game, good for 39^th best in the nation.

San Diego State has played well in the role of favorite going 7-1 SU and 6-2 ATS over its last eight games as the betting favorite. The Aztecs went 29-4 SU and 18-12 ATS this season, earning an at large bid as the Mountain West regular season champion.

SDSU finished the year on a 6-1 SU and 5-2 ATS run.

The New Mexico State vs. San Diego State game at the Spokane Arena is the final game on Thursday’s college basketball betting card. The game follows the matchup of Oklahoma vs. North Dakota State that starts at 7:27pm ET.

North Dakota State finished the season on a 14-1 SU run that included SU wins in each of its last nine games, propelling the Bison to a Summit League regular season and tournament championship. The total has gone UNDER in nine of North Dakota State’s last 11 games.

Oklahoma went 5-2 SU and 6-1 ATS over its last seven games, wrapping up a solid 23-9 SU and 19-11 campaign that earned the Sooners an at-large 5-seed.

The Sooners had the seventh most potent scoring attack in the country averaging 82.2 PPG led by Buddy Hield (16.8 PPG) and Cameron Clark (15.3 PPG)
