Tulsa vs UCLA odds, VCU vs Stephen F. Austin betting, South Region

VCU faces a dangerous 12 seed in South Region betting and UCLA faces the hottest ATS team in the tournament in Tulsa.

The 5-seed VCU Rams have made a name for themselves in the NCAA Tournament going 12-2 ATS in their last 14 tournament games.

They won’t catch anyone by surprise anymore as a 6.5-point favorite Friday against 12-seed Stephen F. Austin. Later in the evening, the South region action wraps up with 4-seed UCLA as an 8.5-point favorite against 13-seed Tulsa.

Virginia Commonwealth entered the Atlantic 10 Championship Game on a 6-0 SU and ATS run, but fell short of the title in a 65-61 loss to Saint Joseph’s. VCU finished the season with a 26-8 SU and 18-14 ATS record to pick up an at-large bid into the tournament.

The Rams are 12-4 ATS over their last 16 games.

Stephen F. Austin dominated the Southland Conference this season, finishing with a 31-2 SU record and ending the year on a 28-0 SU run and winning the conference tournament. The Lumberjacks finished 45th in the nation in scoring with 76.5 points per game.

This will be just the second NCAA Tournament appearance in school history.

UCLA ended the year on a 9-3 SU and 8-4 ATS run that included a perfect 3-0 SU and ATS run through the Pac-12 Tournament to win the conference championship over Arizona.

The Bruins finished the season with one of the best offenses in the country averaging 81.8 points per game. Jordan Adams led the way with 17.2 PPG.

Tulsa went 17-3 SU and ATS over its last 20 games, ending the season on an 11-game winning streak to win the Conference USA Tournament and earn its first trip to the dance since 2003.

The Golden Hurricane have historically performed well in the first round of the NCAA Tournament with a 6-0 ATS record since 1996.
