Creighton owns most of the stat edges and they lay 3.5 points at Georgetown as college basketball betting action heats up Tuesday.

The Bluejays were a 3.5-point road favorite in early college basketball betting at OddsShark.com. They face a Hoya team on a 5-0 ATS run at home.
At 23-5 SU and 15-11 ATS, Creighton has been turning heads all season long with one of the best offenses in the nation averaging 80.2 points per game. Star senior forward Doug McDermot is the focal point of the offense, leading the team in scoring with 26 points per game and seven rebounds per game.
Over their last 20 games, the Bluejays are 12-0 SU and 8-4 ATS at home compared to 5-3 SU and 4-4 ATS on the road. Creighton would like to shore up its road game before tournament time later this month.
January was a rough month for the Georgetown Hoyas, who went just 2-6 SU and 3-5 ATS in eight games that month. But February started off on the right foot with an outright upset as a 7.5-point underdog against the Michigan State Spartans at Madison Square Garden, sparking a 5-3 SU and 6-2 ATS run over Georgetown’s last eight games.
The Hoyas have lost their last three road games, but have been dangerous at home of late with a 3-1 SU and 4-0 ATS record over their last four games at home.
The total has gone OVER in five of Georgetown’s last six games and in three of Creighton’s last four games. The total went UNDER in the one meeting between these two teams back in January when Creighton beat Georgetown 76-63 as a 12-point favorite at home.
Creighton averages roughly 10 points per game more than Georgetown, and that offensive gap was apparent in Creighton’s win earlier this season. That game came at home for the Bluejays though, where they play much better.
Georgetown has been playing well at home and needs this game more than Creighton does as an NCAA Tournament bubble team, setting up an intriguing Big East showdown and potentially changing the odds to win 2013-14 NCAA Basketball Championship.
