World Cup Betting Odds 2014

World Cup 2014 is right around the corner, so is betting on the world’s most-watched tournament. See the latest odds and betting previews.

Chung Sung-Jun

Every four years, the world of sports betting focuses on a single gigantic event that produces more wagers than any other - more than the Super Bowl, more than the Olympics.

It’s the global soccer showcase and fanaticism associated with the World Cup of Soccer. In 2014, Brazil hosts the top soccer nations and betting on the World Cup becomes a preoccupation with fans looking for every scrap of information they can find.

Of course, others simply bet on their home nation, regardless of the odds. SBNation.com’s lines partner OddsShark.com is contributing dozens of World Cup betting articles - one for each of the eight groups, one for each of the 32 nations and many more.

So if you are looking for World Cup Future Odds (who will win the tournament) or you are looking to wager on individual World Cup 2014 Game Odds, check it out and get ready for kickoff on June 12. Bookmark this page, which will fill up with all the information you need to make informed picks.

Group A:

Host Brazil is always hugely talented and they are the huge favorite in Group A. Mexico, Croatia and Cameroon are likely battling for the second spot in the Round of 16.

Betting Preview | Brazil | Croatia | Mexico | Cameroon

Group B:

Defending champion Spain will get a solid push from the Dutch, while Chile is also a threat playing in front of friendly crowds in South America. Australia is a huge long shot here.

Betting Preview | Spain | Netherlands | Chile | Australia

Group C:

Colombia is a Top 10 ranked soccer nation and playing on ‘home’ soil. Greece is always tough defensively and Japan and Ivory Coast bring upset potential to the group.

Betting Preview | Colombia | Ivory Coast | Japan | Greece

Group D:

A stacked group with Uruguay and lethal Luis Suarez leading the current odds. Italy is always dangerous, ditto the English. Costa Rica is the long shot in the group.

Betting Preview | Italy | Uruguay | England | Costa Rica

Group E:

France was a disaster four years ago, but they are the current favorites here, followed closely by the Swiss. South American entry Ecuador is a threat, while Honduras will be lucky to earn a single point here.

Betting Preview | France | Switzerland | Ecuador | Honduras

Group F:

Argentina is one of the favorites to win Brazil 2014 and a huge favorite to win the group. Bosnia-Herzegovina is playing in its first World Cup as the second betting choice, while Nigeria and Iran seem to have too many question marks to be viable threats.

Betting Preview | Argentina | Bosnia-Herzegovina | Nigeria | Iran

Group G:

The Group of Death will send two good teams home early. It probably won’t be Germany, the group favorite, and Portugal is strong as well. Ghana is tough and the Americans are also capable of advancing.

Betting Preview | Germany | Portugal | USA | Ghana

Group H:

Belgium leads the betting in Group H, with Russia a solid second at the sportsbooks. South Korea boasts some top talent, while Algeria faces long odds to advance to the Round of 16.
