Group H is one of the weaker groups in the World Cup, but has Belgium, which may be a dark horse in Brazil.

However, while Belgium has the fifth best overall World Cup betting odds to win the tournament, their best striker in Aston Villa’s Christian Benteke has been ruled out due to an injury.

Russia has a great defense and South Korea while not looking good in qualifying has advanced to the knockout phase in the last two World Cups. Algeria rounds out the group and they are the major long shot to make it to the last 16.

The loss of Christian Benteke is a big one for Belgium, but it gives Everton’s Romelu Lukaku his shot to show he can lead the offense. The squad won their World Cup European qualifying group and there is a lot of young talent on the pitch.

Vincent Kompany is the captain and Marouane Fellaini and Eden Hazard are the leaders of the midfield, which is a good one.

While South Korea has had success in their last two World Cups, they were far from impressive in qualifying. Heung-Min Son plays at Bayer Leverkusen and is a 21-year old that can spurn the attack.

Lee Chung-Yong is over his knee issues and back to the lead the squad that has some talent up front and in the back, but the concerns are in the midfield. That may really cost them playing a squad with a strong midfield like Belgium and Russia.

While the team does have issues in a friendly in March they won 2-0 facing Greece, who has one of the best defenses in the world.

Algeria is definitely the weakest team in the group and there is a reason they have the third worst overall odds to win the World Cup. MF Saphir Sliti Taider from Inter Milan is solid and veteran captain Madjid Bougherra has a lot of international experience.

However, the talent is simply not there and the squad has never reached the round of 16 in the World Cup.

The African squad did win their World Cup qualifying group, but it was a less than strong one with the squads of Mali, Benin and Rwanda.
