France vs. Switzerland betting odds preview, World Cup predictions for Friday
Italy is favored big against Costa Rica, while France and Switzerland are close in World Cup Group E odds Friday.

A berth in the World Cup’s round of 16 will be on the line Friday when Italy and Costa Rica meet in a matchup of Group D leaders.
And control of Group E can be seized by other France or Switzerland when these European foes clash.
Italy currently holds the edge in moneyline betting on the match with odds of 10/21 compared to the underdog Ticos, who are 6/1 underdogs.
Italy are also heavy favorites to finish in top spot in Group C. After being pegged at 3/2 to win the group entering the tournament, the Azzurri sit at 4/11 following a 2-1 victory over rival England in a nail biting start to their group stage schedule.
Costa Rica are looking to advance beyond the group stage at the World Cup for the first time since 1990. The Ticos shocked heavily favored Uruguay with a 3-1 win in their group stage opener, improving the odds of winning their first World Cup from 1000/1 at the outset of the tourney to 300/1 today.

Group E action also continues on Friday when group co-leaders and European rivals France and Switzerland go head-to-head. After dominating Honduras en route to a 3-0 win in their first group stage match, France sits as 5/7 moneyline favorites in Friday’s match.
The Swiss were also victorious in their opening match, knocking off Ecuador 2-1.
But despite fine play throughout the World Cup qualification cycle, during which they rose to No. 6 in FIFA’s World Ranking, Switzerland have not won over oddsmakers. They entered the tourney trailing France in group betting with odds of 5/2, and 100/1 to win the tourney.
Going into Friday’s match, the Swiss have improved to 80/1 in futures wagering and 2/1 to beat out the favored French for top spot in Group E; a real possibility if they can emerge victorious in Friday’s match.
Honduras and Ecuador also meet on Friday, with a last chance at advancing beyond the group stage on the line. Ecuador failed to qualify for the World Cup in 2010, but had earned dark-horse status this time around, arriving at Brazil with odds of 7/2 to win Group E.
La Tri are 10/17 moneyline favorites to top Honduras, who currently own the dubious distinction of being World Cup futures wagering longshots, with odds of 2000/1.
