Holland was the runner up in the 2010 World Cup and this summer they only have the 11th best odds to win the tournament.
World Cup 2014 betting: odds on Holland to win Group B, predictions
The Dutch are a dark horse in World Cup 2014 betting. They are favored to advance in Group B but are in tough against Spain and Chile.

They also only have the second best odds to win their group having to face Spain, who they lost to in the final four years ago. They are in the one of the tougher groups with Spain, Chile and Australia.
Still, Holland is a very good squad that had no problems in the European World Cup qualifying process where they did not lose a match.
Holland Odds to win World Cup 2014: +3300
Holland Odds to win Group B: +250
The Dutch scored at least two goals in every single qualifying match, but their defense is a concern and they have not proven to be very effective in defending long balls and set pieces.
One of the reasons that the odds have dropped for Holland to win the World Cup is they have been less than impressive in their recent tune-ups. In their last four friendly matches, they do not have a win with three draws and one loss.
However, none of those matches were cupcakes with all four squads playing in the World Cup.
World Cup Prediction for Holland
The first match for the Dutch is the toughest facing Spain and while it may be another close match like the 2010 final the result will be same, as they will lose. However, they will come in second in the group beating a solid Chile team and an Australia squad that will be playing over its head.
The draw is not kind for them after that facing the Group A winner in the round of 16, which will be Brazil. Holland will not go down easily, but they will also not beat the host.
How Holland got to the World Cup
Holland only had one blemish in European World Cup qualifying and that was a single draw. Overall, they had nine wins and one draw and in their last three qualifying matches they scored 12 goals including scoring eight against a decent Hungary team.
It was pretty impressive their record in the qualifying process since there were solid squads in the group in Turkey, Romania, and Hungary. While the defense may be the issue for the Dutch they did have five clean sheets in qualifying.
