But it does a bit Thursday as the Jaguars are a 3.5-point home favorite at shops such as Sports Interaction against the Falcons to wrap up the NFL exhibition betting schedule for each team.
Atlanta at Jacksonville is the earliest game on Thursday’s 16-game NFL preseason card. The Falcons have made for an excellent preseason fade in recent seasons going 2-14 SU and 4-12 ATS over their last 16 preseason games.
Remarkably, the Falcons are 3-0 SU and ATS against the Miami Dolphins and 0-15 SU and 2-13 ATS against all other opponents in the preseason since August 19, 2010.
The Seattle Seahawks are likely to be one of the most popular bets of the week this week visiting the Oakland Raiders as a 3.5-point road favorite. Seattle is 11-1 SU and ATS over its last 12 preseason games while Oakland is 3-12 SU and ATS over its last 15 preseason games.
To make matters worse for the Raiders, Seattle is 7-1 SU and 8-0 ATS in its last eight preseason games against Oakland.
Mark Sanchez will get a chance to play against his old team Thursday when the New York Jets visit the Philadelphia Eagles. New York has dominated this preseason series to the tune of a 13-3 SU and 10-5-1 ATS record over the Eagles since 1997. The OVER is 9-1 over the last 10 games in this series and 6-0 over the last six. Philadelphia is favored by 2.5 at home.
The Denver Broncos are 5-3 SU and 6-2 ATS in their last eight games against the Dallas Cowboys. Dallas is expected to struggle this season, and the Cowboys haven’t done much to change those expectations with an 0-3 SU and 1-2 ATS record so far this preseason. The Cowboys are 2-7 ATS in their last nine home games and are a 1-point home underdog against the Broncos.
The Cincinnati Bengals are a 3-point favorite hosting the Indianapolis Colts. Cincinnati is 9-3 SU and ATS in its last 12 preseason games against Indianapolis. The total has gone UNDER in nine of those 12 games including eight of the last 10.
The regular season kicks off the following Thursday with the Seahawks hosting Green Bay, with the NFL oddsmakers favoring the defending champs by 5 points. Of note, Super Bowl champions are 18-2 SU starting the following season.
