College football opening odds, Week 6: Oregon, Alabama favored in big games

Oregon is a double-digit favorite again in Pac 12 betting vs Arizona as Week 6 college football odds opened Monday.

The No. 2 Oregon Ducks are just 2-7 against the spread in their last nine games as a double-digit favorite. They will be in that role on Thursday hosting the Arizona Wildcats at Autzen Stadium. Oregon is a 22.5-point favorite at home at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com. Both Oregon and Arizona are off to matching 4-0 straight up and 1-3 ATS starts to the 2014 season. Arizona beat Oregon as an 18.5-point home underdog last season after going 0-5 SU and 2-3 ATS in its previous four games against the Ducks.

No 6. Texas A&M is visiting No. 12 Mississippi State in what will be the first of six matchups between two ranked teams on Saturday. Mississippi State is 8-1 ATS in its last nine games and is a 1-point favorite at home on Saturday.

No. 3 Alabama is a 5.5-point road favorite, according to sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com, visiting the No. 11 Mississippi Rebels on Saturday. Ole Miss is 6-3 ATS in its last nine games against Alabama and 6-2 ATS in its last eight home games overall.

After beating West Virginia 45-33 in is first big road test of the season, the No. 4 Oklahoma Sooners get another road test this Saturday afternoon, visiting the No. 25 TCU Horned Frogs. TCU is a 4.5-point underdog at home and will try to turn its conference luck around, following a 1-7 ATS record in its last eight games against Big 12 opponents.

No. 9 Notre Dame hosts No. 14 Stanford in Notre Dame’s first of three games against Pac-12 opponents this season. The UNDER is 4-0 in the last four meetings between these two teams and 4-0 in Notre Dame’s last four games against Pac-12 opponents. Stanford is a 1.5-point home favorite.

Rounding out the games between two ranked teams in the early evening are No. 15 LSU vs. No. 5 Auburn and No. 19 Nebraska vs. No. 10 Michigan State. Auburn is a 9-point favorite at home against LSU while Michigan State is going off at -9.5 at home against the Cornhuskers. Michigan State is 6-2 ATS in its last eight games at home according to the OddsShark College Football Database.
