2015 NFL odds, Week 7: Seahawks, Patriots betting favorites vs. rivals

Big divisional games highlight the NFL betting card in Week 7 including Seattle at San Francisco and the New York Jets at New England.

Joe Nicholson-USA TODAY Sports

The Seattle Seahawks are 10-4 straight up in their last 14 games coming off a loss. The Seahawks will try to bounce back from a loss against the Carolina Panthers last week when they visit the San Francisco 49ers Thursday night.

Seattle is a 5.5-point road favorite over San Francisco at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com. The Seahawks opened as a 4-point favorite but have been bet up to -5.5 as early action is coming in on them.

Despite the fact that the perception of the Seahawks is much higher than that of the 49ers, both teams enter this game with the same 2-4 SU record, and San Francisco holds the against the spread edge at 3-3 over Seattle's 1-4-1. The 49ers are 5-1 SU in their last six home games against Seattle according to the OddsShark NFL Database.

First place in the AFC East will be on the line on Sunday when the New York Jets visit the New England Patriots. New York has been one of the surprise teams of the 2015 season with a 4-1 SU and ATS start, but now the Jets face their toughest test of the season on the road against undefeated New England.

The Patriots are 7-0 SU and 5-1-1 ATS over their last seven games and are a 9-point home favorite over the Jets.

The Indianapolis Colts blew their chances of an upset against the Patriots last Sunday with one of the oddest fake punt attempts in NFL history. The Colts will try to bounce back from that blunder this Sunday as a 5-point favorite at home against the New Orleans Saints.

New Orleans is 2-1 SU and ATS over its last three games and is coming off an impressive 31-21 upset over the Atlanta Falcons on Thursday night.

Carolina improved to 5-0 SU and 4-1 ATS with its win over the Seahawks on Sunday. The Panthers open as a 2.5-point favorite hosting the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday Night Football this week.

On Monday Night Football, the Arizona Cardinals are a 7.5-point favorite hosting the Baltimore Ravens. Baltimore has won each of its last four games against Arizona outright.
