Patriots vs. Giants odds 2015: New England road favorites in New York

The New England Patriots put their perfect record on the line this Sunday when they visit the New York Giants as big betting favorites.

Stew Milne-USA TODAY Sports

The New England Patriots have failed to cover the spread in each of their last four games against the New York Giants including three straight outright losses. The Patriots will try to solve the Giants on Sunday at MetLife Stadium.

New England is a 7.5-point road favorite this Sunday according to sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com. This is the seventh straight game that the Patriots have been favored by a touchdown or more.

Last Sunday brought yet another blowout win for the New England Patriots as they cruised to a 27-10 win and cover at home against the Washington Redskins. The win brought New England’s season totals to 8-0 straight up and 5-1-2 against the spread.

The Patriots have won each of their eight games by at least a touchdown and have led by double-digits in every game. No one has been able to solve the Patriots to date, but historically the Giants have been a thorn in New England’s side.

The Patriots are 6-2 SU and ATS in their last eight November games and 8-0 SU in their last eight games as a November favorite per the OddsShark NFL Database.

The Giants bounced back from their wild 52-49 loss against the New Orleans Saints with a strong performance last Sunday, taking care of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 32-18 as a 1.5-point road favorite.

Since starting the season off with two losses, the Giants are 5-2 SU and 4-2-1 ATS and are currently in sole possession of first place in the NFC East. The Giants rank 31st in the NFL against the pass allowing 308.7 yards per game, which could be a problem with Tom Brady coming to town.

Sunday’s total is set at 54.5 points. The OVER is 8-2 in New York’s last 10 games as a home underdog.

It’s hard to pick against the Patriots right now. While the Giants have enjoyed success against New England in the past, this year’s Giants team isn’t nearly as strong on defense, which was the key to those past upsets. In what figures to be a shootout, look for Tom Brady to lead the Patriots to another road win and cover this Sunday afternoon.
