Patriots vs. Broncos 2015 odds: Unbeaten New England hits Denver as betting favorite

The New England Patriots face one of their toughest tests of the season this Sunday night on the road as favorites against the Denver Broncos.

Robert Deutsch-USA TODAY Sports

The New England Patriots are 11-2 straight up and 10-3 against the spread in their last 13 games against teams from the AFC West division. The Patriots will try to expand on this success and keep their undefeated season intact with a road win over the Denver Broncos.

New England is a 3-point road favorite in Denver according to sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com. The road team is 0-5 SU and ATS in the last five meetings between the Patriots and the Broncos.

The Patriots picked up their 10th victory of the season last Monday night against the Buffalo Bills, improving to 10-0 SU and 5-2-3 ATS with the 20-13 win. New England has won every game but one this season by at least a touchdown, and proved once again that the Patriots aren’t only an offensively-driven team.

New England’s defense is allowing the fewest points per game in the NFL (18.2), a deadly combination to go with the league’s second-highest scoring offense (32.6 points per game).

In their last five games played in Week 12, the New England Patriots are 5-0 SU and ATS. New England is also 5-1 SU and ATS in its last six games against the Broncos per the OddsShark NFL Database.

The Broncos snapped a two-game losing streak and picked up a win in Brock Osweiler’s first career start last week, edging the Chicago Bears 17-15 on the road. The Broncos failed to cover the spread as a 2.5-point favorite, falling to 0-3 ATS over their last three games after starting the season off on a 7-0 SU and 5-1-1 ATS run.

Denver is 3-4 SU and ATS in its last seven games as a home underdog, but did beat Green Bay 29-10 as a home underdog this season.

Sunday’s total is set at 43.5 points. The OVER is 4-1 in New England’s last five road games.

With the two best scoring defenses in the league taking to the field, points could be hard to come by in this one. But in a battle between Tom Brady and Brock Osweiler, take Brady and the Patriots to earn the win and cover on the road.
